Discovery Calls

Not sure what your or your child's needs might be - or what to do next?

Wherever you live, a Discovery Call gives you up to 30 minutes to talk things through with an assessor with around 25 years' experience.

A Discovery Call might be helpful if:

  • you're wondering whether dyslexia or other neurodiversity could explain some of the challenges you're seeing

  • you're unsure what type of professional or assessment you need

  • you'd like to talk things through before committing to the cost of a full assessment

  • you have questions about assessments or diagnoses, even if you don't intend to book an assessment with me

  • you'd like advice about GCSE exam access arrangements, such as extra time

How long is a Discovery Call and what does it involve?

A Discovery Call lasts up to 30 minutes and takes place over Zoom. It's simply a friendly but focused conversation, giving you space to explain your concerns, ask questions and get a clearer idea of your next steps.

There are no questionnaires or screening forms to complete beforehand and I won't write a report afterwards. However, you're welcome to take notes and I may follow up by email with useful information, links to other professionals or details about booking an assessment if appropriate.

What does a Discovery Call cost and how do I book?

A Discovery Call costs £40 and this is paid by credit or debit card when booking. If you go on to book a full diagnostic assessment with me within 6 months, £25 of this will be deducted from the assessment cost.

If you'd like to go ahead and book a Discovery Call, you can access my diary by clicking on the button below, choose your date/time and make the payment. You'll receive an email notification as well as a link to the Zoom call. The calendar usually shows only the available slots in the next 2-3 weeks.
