Discovery Calls
Wherever you live in the world, a Discovery Call might be just what you need if:
you'd like a no-obligation conversation about your or your child's needs
you're not sure whether dyslexia or something else might explain some challenges, such as a language disorder, ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, visual disturbances.....
you don't know where to turn, such as what type of professional can diagnose certain needs
you'd like to have an in-depth conversation before committing to the cost of a full diagnostic assessment
you don't wish to book a full assessment with Sarah (such as because you're looking for an assessment sooner than she can offer or you don't live locally) but you have questions about assessments, diagnoses, etc.
you want to find out how dyslexia is formally diagnosed
you'd like to speak to a very approachable assessor with almost 25 years' experience who's brought a holistic approach to her work for many years and been thanked by clients, schools, etc. for her willingness to signpost/refer those she sees
How long is a Discovery Call and what does it involve?
A Discovery Call is up to 30 minutes. As noted above and seen on the testimonials page, clients are finding these incredibly helpful to clarify their next steps whatever the potential underlying need.
The Discovery Call does not involve completing questionnaires/screening forms as it's 'just' a conversation - but a very focused one. A report will not be written afterwards but you're welcome to take notes during the Zoom call and you may receive an email afterwards if it's relevant to share information, links to other professionals, a link to Sarah's online booking system if wanting to pursue a comprehensive needs or full diagnostic assessment afterwards, etc.
How much is the Discovery Call and how do I book?
The cost is £40 and this is paid by credit/debit card when you book. Please contact Sarah if you don't have a card and need an alternative way of booking. A discount of £25 from the cost of a full diagnostic assessment (age 8+) or comprehensive needs assessment (age 6-7) is then offered if you pursue this with Sarah within 6 months.
If you'd like to go ahead and book a Discovery Call, you can access my diary by clicking on the button below, choose your date/time and make the payment. You'll receive an email notification as well as a link to the Zoom call. You'll also have the option to cancel if you change your mind. The calendar usually shows only the available slots in the next 2-3 weeks and it's updated every Tuesday.
